After completion of the Online Application, please contact the appropriate building after one business day to make sure your application has been received.

Dear Applicant:
Thank you for your interest in a position with the Prairie Grove Public Schools. The following process and guidelines will assist you in developing your application.
Position openings and applications are posted on our web site.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION:
Applications are in Word format and maybe downloaded or picked up at the Superintendent’s Office.
- 1.The following information will be needed to properly fill out your application:
- A.Licensed Applicants:
- Colleges/universities attended; graduation dates, degrees earned, major subjects.
- Licensed type; Licensed level (P-4, 7-12, etc.); Licensed subject area.
- Dates of teaching experience, student teaching, and non-teaching experience; name of the organization for which you worked, name of supervisor and contact phone number.
- B.Classified Applicants:
- High School, colleges/universities attended; graduation dates, degrees earned, major subjects; overall GPA and major area GPA.
- From/To dates of work experience; names of organization for which you worked, names of supervisors and contact phone numbers.
- C.All Applicants:
- Three (3) professional references, including name, title, organization, work phone, home phone, and e-mail address, if available.
- The Prairie Grove School District provides a veteran preference to applicants who qualify for one of the following categories:
- 1.a veteran without a service-connected disability;
- 2.a veteran with a service-connected disability;
- 3.a deceased veteran’s spouse who is unmarried throughout the hiring process
A Veteran is defined as:
- A person honorably discharged from a tour of active duty, other than active duty for training only, with the armed forces of the United States; or
- Any person who has served honorably in the National Guard or reserve forces of the United States for a period of at least six (6) years, whether or not the person has retired or been discharged.
In order for an applicant to receive the veterans preference, the applicant must be a citizen and resident of Arkansas, be substantially equally qualified as other applicants and do all of the following:
- 1.Indicate on the employment application the category the applicant qualifies for;
- 2.Attach the following documentation, as applicable, to the employment application:
- a)Form DD-214 indicating honorable discharge;
- b)A letter dated within the last six months from the applicant’s command indicating years of service in the National Guard or Reserve Forces as well as the applicant’s current status;
- c)Marriage license;
- d)Death certificate;
- e)Disability letter from the Veteran’s Administration (in the case of an applicant with a service-related disability).
Failure of the applicant to comply with the above requirements shall result in the applicant not receiving the veteran preference; in addition, meeting the qualifications of a veteran or spousal category does not guarantee either an interview or being hired.
- 2.You may email, mail or drop off your application at the Superintendent’s Office.

- 3.If you submit an electronic copy and there was documents that you were unable to attach to your application those documents are to be mailed (not faxed) to Becky Hudson in the Superintendent’s Office. For Licensed applicants these documents may include a Resume’, College Transcripts, Teaching Certificate, Praxis exam scores, and any other supporting documents. For classified paraprofessional applicants these documents include documentation of having an associate’s degree or having completed at least sixty (60) hours of college coursework or results of the ETS ParaPro Assessment. Remember if you qualify for veterans preference you must submit all of the required documentation.
